Game Sumary:
The objective of the game is to train a girl to win magic competition so she can inherit her noble house and get revenge for her father’s death.
This is a battle oriented raising sim. You make the girl train/study to raise skills and do jobs to make money. Some jobs could result into battles.
The battle here is very similar to Noroi no Maken but with a little less control. You set up orders and watch her execute them. You can change the preferred skills, distance, targeting, etc at any time but no direct control like Noroi no Maken. The tactics skill also makes the AI movement less stupid.
The main objetive is to win a certain tournament but there are several other competitions, tower dungeons and labyrinths to complete.
There are new modes available after your first playthrough that slightly changes things and events. The inheritance system(newgame+) in this game is also interesting. The more you climb the Hero Tower the more inherited things you can get on the next playthrough.

This patch is for the latest version 1.10 that can be download on the official site. Be sure to update the game before applying the patch

Due to how the game works changing the skill names would break some event triggers so unfortunately it can not be changed.
The descriptions are still there so you can still click the info button to see what they do but it not as easy to the eyes as before with the skill names.
I’ve left the old obj.vfs inside the file. You could replace them to see the skill names if you want to. But don’t play using them as any skill-dependent event would not work properly.

There seems to be a problem with the game after applying the translation patch. The skills appears to be bugged. No matter how many times I level up the “Magic Knowledge” skill, or any other skill for the matter, my character can’t learn new skills. Using a 100% save file and starting a new game plus exhibits the same problems with skills completely missing. There also seems to also be a bug with the “Work” and Training tasks (Not thoroughly tested). Wherein both training and work have a 100% success rate. This was compared to the latest unpatched version of the game

I’ll check it tomorrow…. hopefully its something fixeable or I might have to revert the skill names to japonese
Edit: Doing a quick check here. The skills seems to work fine at least the one I tried but I’ll test again on a clean save later.
Check there too: Get magic knowledge level 5 and Freezing ice will appear(Also had Jab1, Axe1, MPIncrease1, trackingwind1 on the save before getting it)
The work success rate broken for sure. I’ll check the files to see where it is referenced or I might have to revert the skill names to jap.
But again, the skill requirements should not be broken. I’ll re-check tomorrow. If you can, give me an example of the skill that you should be getting and are not so I can test here

Unfortunately the skill names cannot be changed or lot of event triggers would break. I’ve updated the patch to exclude the skill names. Sadly. Everything should work now.
The item/furniture didn’t have name changes because they were images and the enemies had duplicated names to indicate stronger enemies with the same name and the engine only uses the top one so no problems there either.
I’ve tried to search for the skil name references but it was a mess… There are a lot of skill names between the garbage along the box.vfs file and most likely some hard-coded into the .exe. So its best to just forget the skill names…. sadly.

It’s very unfortunate that the skill names have to be left as is. Nonetheless thanks for the patch and update. For those who really want to see translated skill names even at the cost of performance then, VNR is able to hook and insert the MTLed names. However even the save and load screens are able to be hooked which can cause some performance issues on slower computers.

No, I only make interface translation patches. People sometimes come to me for help to make the patch for they to translate but they usually vanish after a few days after so I don’t think there will be one.

Hi, do you plan to translate other Softhouse chara games like Sono Taiju wa Makai o Kurau! or Suzukuri Karin-chan? Its really hard to play those games without english interface. I hope you can translate them someday.

Yes, eventually I plan on doing that, but it might take quite a while as there are several games that I want to play first before starting that.
(Currently doing an Eushully’s game marathon of the games I missed)
Also, Sono Taiju wa Makai o Kurau have a very strange DRM and I did not test if the patch will still work on that game.
PS: The only game that had that DRM was Sono Taiju wa Makai o Kurau, the other games after that as far as I know were normal.

Sorry my English I am from Brazil and I wanted to thank you for the patch I had stopped playing this game because it seems to be a very complex game to play in JP but now with this patch it is easier thanks!

Unfortunately the skill names could not be translated due to the engine using them internally to execute events but hopefully you can understand what they are from the skill description.

hi do you have a program that can unpack and repack images ? (i’ve tried ALDExplorer2 but it’s always crash after few minutes lol-using window7 32bit) .I’m trying to translate UI icon for Suzukari-Karin chan.Thanks in advance !

I mainly use WizardClimberDecrypt. I only did a little change on the source code because it was ignoring a face images on bb3 dungeon dialogues but I guess I never used that as the interfaces that I did never translated any dialogue.
There were 2 games that I needed to use vfstools to decrypt the .agf images and repack them back.

Hi can you help me with compile English translated images .PNG back into .VFS game file ?
Basically i’m using GARBro to extract PNG images >> using Photoshop to edit them and save under .PNG format.
Then when i’m using ALDExplorer2 tool to replace .AGF images with my .PNG edited images inside game .VFS file format (for example chipB.VFS) >> Error box pop up when i’m play test says “Can’t read files”. The rest i’ve described on my Fuwanovel thread above .
